Bird Care Facility

The Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Centre’s new state-of-the-art facility combines a structural steel roof with tilt-up concrete construction, all situated on more than 17 acres of natural landscape. Purpose-built for wildlife rehabilitation, the facility will greatly expand the Centre’s ability to care for injured and orphaned wild birds while strengthening community education and environmental stewardship.

Designed as a quiet and energy-efficient environment, the building includes a larger, modern medical suite, improved isolation areas for specialized treatment, and enriched indoor and outdoor free-flight spaces that closely replicate the birds’ natural habitats. Together, these features create a functional, durable, and mission-driven space that supports The Wild Bird Centre’s vital work.
