Port Hope Police Station
Project Details
This new police station is to replace the existing facility, and is located strategically on the edge of this community. With a gross floor area of 10,000 sq. ft., the station will house room for a full police program with public community space, Police Service offices, and administration, SOCO, and detention areas. The facility will sit on a site that will allow for future fire station, and police expansion.
The structure of the building utilizes tilt-up construction which provides for a very robust and secure facility (all concrete, with a brick veneer in keeping up with the Port Hope historic architecture), and keeping the project within budget.
It is anticipated that the new building is set to service the needs of policing to Port Hope for the next 40-50 years.
