From Planning to Panel Lifting
Each Toronto project follows a coordinated process that brings together panel design, forming, concrete construction and lifting. Early planning helps the work move efficiently from the casting surface to the completed building envelope.

Preparation
Panel dimensions, openings, reveals and architectural features are laid out on the building slab or temporary casting surface before forms are installed.
Reinforcement
Reinforcing steel, lifting inserts, connection plates and required embeds are installed. Insulation is also incorporated when insulated wall panels are specified.
Panel Construction
Concrete is placed and finished while the panels remain horizontal. The panels are then left to cure until they are ready for lifting.
Lift Day
A crane lifts each panel from the casting surface and positions it vertically around the building according to the planned lifting sequence.
Completion
Panels are aligned, connected, grouted and sealed. Painting, coatings, roofing, windows and interior construction can then continue.

This North York data centre demonstrates how tilt wall construction can support technically demanding projects where structural performance, coordination and efficient construction are critical.
The 60,000-square-foot facility used 49 tilt wall panels covering more than 43,500 square feet. The panels were designed to transfer shear and lateral loads while helping reduce the amount of structural steel required.
With a constrained site and permitting delays, the project team cast panels on a temporary slab and used a coordinated two-crane lifting operation to move them into position. The project demonstrates the adaptability of tilt wall construction when site conditions require a specialized approach.
