The Server Farm TOR2.1 Data Centre in North York, Ontario, is a pioneering achievement in data center construction. It is the first data center in Ontario to use tilt-up concrete panels, showcasing innovative building practices and exceptional problem-solving.

The team faced initial delays in obtaining permits. However, to keep the project on track, they cast the panels on a temporary slab away from the main site. Due to site constraints, they used a dual-crane operation to lift and transfer the panels. This required precise coordination and meticulous planning. The tilt-up panels were engineered for both front pick and top pick systems, ensuring safe and accurate placement. Although not load-bearing, the panels played a crucial role in transferring shear and lateral loads to the foundation, resulting in significant steel savings.

The construction of the Server Farm TOR2.1 Data Centre created numerous jobs, engaged local suppliers, and supported the local economy.
